Healing as a Family

Let's take family therapy to a whole new level. Traditional therapy makes it difficult for all the key players to participate - not only due to scheduling logisitics, but also due to the confined and restrictive nature of a 50-minute therapy session. In 2 days, we will spend time exploring how it is to be in connection with one another. In our experiential group processing, we don't come from a place of, "tell me what's happening," instead, we come from a place of, "show me what's happening." Using our experiential approach to family issues, we can work directly with the roots of family dysfunction, rather than get stuck in blame and finger pointing. Our families walk away from this experience feeling more connected and attuned to one another.

Common issues that families wish to address in a workshop setting include the impact of the following events (whether these events happened recently or feel like ancient history):

• A family member's transition back home after completing residential treatment
• A collective or individual traumatic event
• A period of abrupt absence of a family member
• A major family change, such as divorce or adoption  
• A prolonged sense of disconnection
• Sibling violence (physical or emotional)
