Healing through experiential methods is all about getting out of your head, transcending the all-too-familiar defenses, and having a brand new experience with our stories.

We know ourselves differently through experiencing, compared to sitting around and talking. Through structured exercises, we override our desire to intellectualize and rationalize, and instead step into our deeper knowing. Without our cognitive defenses online, we tap into implicit memory networks, which are the memories held by our body rather than our mind. These memories communicate via symptoms (anxiety, resentment, perfectionism, etc) rather than through words.

This group is an introduction to experiential recovery - allowing you to develop a stronger capacity for intense emotions. With this increased capacity, we will support you in establishing a felt sense of safety for somatic listening so that you feel prepared to engage in the deep trauma work in…
